Default M/T Valve Covers with Breathers

Found a set of my fathers old M/T valve covers with the breathers, would like to incorporate
them into my build...just wonder if this style is any good, like am I going to get blown oil everywhere with these breathers? Any reason not to use these? Just looking for some advice.

The breathers will need to be re-plated, before I go through the trouble I want to make sure the covers are worth using...thanks

Re-plated? Should be polished aluminum aren't they?

Those are a nice looking covers. I would try and flip them around side to side so the fill hole is on the front pass side rather than be under your brake master. Run them!

Just for comparison, the same time in '69 that I bought these M/Ts, I bought these little breathers too.

Those breathers are fine. Just make sure the metal baffle is installed.

Breathers are chrome plated....assuming the breathers came that way?
