Default Cowl Plenum aircleaner for crossram.

Friend of mine this up recently... rumored to be from a Penkse Trans Am car, any idea what something like this is worth?

I had seen some old photos of T/A cars and had previously seen this air cleaner assembly however I had assumed they were made by the teams and did not realize these were GM parts until seeing the instructions.

Cool. It is for a short or tall element. The taller element ones are worth more. I had one on a 67 Z years ago. No idea on value of them these days.

Penske fabricated their 2x4 air cleaners themselves. They didn't use the GM fiberglass piece as shown in your photo.

I think a friend of mine may have owned that piece at one time and sold it to who your friend got it from.

Pretty neat for a GM piece...
Charlie, How can you tell if it is for the tall or short element?

AFP 22 or 44 for short and tall elements. I can't tell from the pic.

It looks like the earlier short design to me.
