Good luck. I ended up pulling 2 different new McLeod set-ups out of my car because they couldn't seem to build the pressure plates right. Hard to find a good clutch these days.

I ended up with a Centerforce II. I was always skeptical of the weight system on these things, but I figured I'd give it a try. I love it so far, and the company provided great support when I had a minor issue (long story).

I've always been told the Centerforce clutches hit too hard and as such are hard on parts. That's the main thing that's kept me from trying one.

I have installed two Centerforce clutches over the years without experiencing any 'issues' along the way. The 'light pedal' feel is particularly nice especially when my better half uses the cars.

They don't 'hit hard' or hard on parts, quite the opposite in fact.

I wouldn't hesitate to go with another Centerforce...JMHO.

The 2 companies I have had the best luck with when it comes to performance clutches.. Hope you get it straightened out. It sucks to have setbacks.. I know I have had a few over the years. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img]

That's exactly the reason why I didn't put one in my current car and used a Ram Powergrip HD. It's been great so far and I've made it a habit to check &amp; re-adjust the clutch linkage twice a year. When the power level is upped with big sticky rear tires, a little bit of slip is a good thing.

Sorry to hear you're still having problems Eric. I'm sure you'll get this taken care of soon.

On a side note.....I run a Hays Street/Strip clutch and have had zero issues. I know that I don't have the torque you have but my clutch never slips. It is a little heavy on the foot compared to stock but it doesn't matter if I'm at the track or clutching in and out while mashing the gas pedal at 10 mph.....it just hooks.

Sorry, I was in a bit of a rush when I posted earlier.

Turns out the new disc that the tech @ RAM said was compatible with my existing Powergrip cover is actually just a stock replacement disc. It's nowhere near stout enough for this power level.

This time the tech gave me the part # for the disc that's used in the Powergrip <span style="text-decoration: underline">HD</span> set, and I have it on the way in tomorrow.
