Some pics of Yenko's plans for big block 454 supercars after the '69 427 cars. Don't know of any that were actually built, but there could be some prototypes around - especially the '73 model!!Cool stuff, thanks Brian!!

Great photos! The question of what Don Yenko was building between 1970 and 1981 always intrigued me. In the same interest I spoke to the gentleman who cares for Reggie Jackson's cars and Reggie has a 1973 Nickey Nova! The car has been displayed on his site "Mr October for Kids". I think that it is way cool! Andrew

Hot Rod Magazine road tested an Orange 1973 Nickey L88 Nova TH400 in the May '73 issue. It ran low 12's and they said with a few mods it would run in the 11's. It also met the California emission requirements. The article states Nickey offerings included 1973 Camaros, Novas, and Chevelles with your choice of an LT1, L88, or LS6. All the problems with insur. co., fuel prices, and emission requirements most likely kept the sales low.

This unit came with the 427 cubic inch aluminum head L-88, a turbot transmission and a 4:56 rear end. It is believed to make over 500hp. This car is even more rare because it is a 1973 model which came almost 3 years after the "Muscle Car Era". Color: Aztec Bronze

Aud 1975 of Super Chevy, shows supposedly a Nickey 1975 454. For export or off road. Maybe we should be looking in Mexico

Some of the Arabs bought Motion Performance Cars in the mid 70's. I wonder if Saddam had one would he call it "The Mother of all SuperCars"?

You have shaken loose some old memories for me. It might be impractical to retrieve it, but I was in Saudi arabia in the early 80s, and I clearly remember seing a mid 70s Motion Camaro running around the streets of Riyadh. I saw a Macho T/A as well. Everybody drives like a maniac over there, and the cars don't last long, I doubt if the car is still running. On the plus side, I doubt if it has rusted away though. Having seen one of each, I would suppose that there were more of both as well. Used cars were cheap over there, I remember looking at a BMW 735, selling for $4000 if remember correctly. It was only a couple of years old. The used cars were all parked on a sand lot with no buildings anywhere around, and no fences, it was strange. You could run a dealership with really low overhead. The new car lot next door, also had no fences or buildings of any kind. If you know the penalty for stealing over there, then you know how they can get away with that. The new car lot had a half dozen brand new Panteras lined up, for sale.

I lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the mid 90's. Wish I would have looked around more for muscle cars as there were no rust problems there. I would guess most cars ended up in Jeddah or Riyadh. My brother-in-law lives in Kuwait and frequently travels to Saudi and happens to speak fluent Arabic. I'll tell him to ask around. Super Leaded gas was 25 cents a gallon full serve when I was there and outside of town there were no enforced speed limits with outstanding highways. I regularly traveled in the 100 - 120 mph range and saw 150 mph once. Agree on the crime consequences, "Chop Chop Square" as we called it was 2 blocks from my office. Public executions were a weekly event after the noon prayers on Friday's. No problem with repeat offenders.....
