Larry used his Baldwin/Motion GTs for what they were meant to do  Here is a pic of him doing it.
And in his own words: "Even wrecked it was fast enough to win FTD (Fastest Time of Day)at a OKC Autocross on the first run. They even called out their fastest Porche to come beat that ratty looking old Vette. His best time was second fastest to me. Pissed them off bad. I never made a second run since my time held up against all comers." Larry Clain.

And here is what the GT looked like from behind that day..
And in Larrys own words.. how it came to look like that: "Sometimes you have no control over someone else's ability to drive....Some dumb bastard wasn't watching where he was going and rearended me at a light." 
Needless to say.. Larry had access to the tank sticker afterwards...
