August 2006 Feature Car: Dan Hayes/Rayburn Pennington's 1972 Motion "Moray GT" 
| Engine: | 454/475hp | | Trans: | 4-speed | | Rear (factory): | 4.10 posi | | Exterior color: | Yellow | | Interior color: | Black diamond tufted by Motion |
"This car was purchased feb. 2006 off "Ebay" and was being represented as a possible "Manta Ray" but could not be proved. Because all the "Manta Ray's" were built in 1973. After exstensive research this car was found to be the only "Moray GT" built by Motion Performance Inc."
"This car was the "Bridge" between the "Maco" and the "Manta Ray"and was the only one built....Mr.Motion stated if we would buy the car and restore it to his wish's he would document the car as a (1 of 1) Baldwin Motion car's built by: Motion Performance Inc."
"So the car was purchased and painted and put back to "Mr. Motion's" wish's which was period correct yellow w/gold pearl and of course the signature Motion stripe's. Mr. Motion has seen the car and stated this car is beautiful and one of his favorite car's."
"The car is now finished and has been in "Vette Vue's" magazine and is working on several other magazine's and intrest in 2006 and well into next year. And will be on display at the "Supercar" reunion this year..."

I would venture to say most think it is a pretty neat car and the "Motion" heritage is great, but the fact that it is a vette is not as appealing to many on the board compared to other cars. For the most part, vettes seem to have their own following separate from other muscle cars.

 Make sure to check out the up coming (Dec.2006) issue of Hemming's Muscle car Magazine........They have done a great job/story on my car............See what you think? George Mattar & the people at "Hemmings" are super! Also will be featured in "Vettes" Magazine should be on the stands 2nd week of Dec. 2006 and it will be a super issue! see for your self! not really a corvette guy myself, but that has to be the best looking ride on this site. whats a yenko?

Chris, That must have been a neat to watch "Motion" cars back in the day! And then watch them making a come back today...The Motion/Yenko's are a big part of automobile history... I feel everyone here on this site who own's one of these car's are beautiful in there own way............... The site name "Say's" it all The Supercar Registry...Thank's Dan

OK........I now have to boast for myself & Rayburn Pennington & Jamie Jarvis. We will all (3) be on the cover of "Corvette Fever" Magazine a group shot...With a feature on each of the car's. Due to hit book stores in the next 6-8 weeks. And from what i've seen story's/pictures it should be a nice article on each car aprox. 15-20 pages for the (3)of us. Tell me if i'm wrong but i don't ever recall a group of car's being on the cover of a magazine?
***Other new's*** We went to the Ault park "Concours d'elegance" in Cinn. & "Moray" won the best muscle car award..And while we were their guess who made a special visit "Dave McClelan" Corvette Designer from General Motors. He took the great Zora Duntov's place.Without Zora & Dave there would be no Corvette's today....
