VINTAGE RACING NEWS:
One of my favorite vintage races to attend every year is the SVRA's Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival at Road America. The last vintage event of the season at this historic 4 mile road course always brings out great cars, great people, and great racing!
This year will be no exception, and as an added bonus, the featured marque is the Ford Mustang. As many of you know, I race a Shelby Mustang, and (please, no tar and feathers) am also a Mustang fan. As such, in support of this special event, Colin's Classic Automobiles is proud to sponsor the Mustang Feature Race at the ELVF. CCA is also proud to sponsor the Vintage Spirit Trophy for this event.
Check out the ELVF website and full schedule here:

If you love vintage race cars doing what they do best, don't miss this event! I'll be racing in both Group 6 with all of the big-bore ground pounders (always a great battle) as well as the Mustang feature which should have about 30 Shelbys and Mustangs swapping paint. If you are able to attend, make sure to stop by and visit. Just look for the black and silver 1966 Shelby GT350 #51 in the paddock between races.
Hope to see you there!
Best Regards, Colin Comer www.colinsclassicauto.com

Hey Bill,
No Ferrari race cars for me, I'm addicted to big HP V-8 engines. Why would I want to drive a car actually designed for racing? Where's the fun in that? I'll stick with these crude old Trans Am cars...
So are you going to drive over? Take the Lake Express, RA is an hour and fifteen minutes north of the Port of Milwaukee.

Colin, I'll be there on Saturday. A group of the local CVAR racers will be there from Texas. I saw them race last weekend at Texas World Speedway and it was a good event. A good friend went to load his '68 Trans Am Camaro into the large truck rented to haul the cars to RA and it was too tight a fit, he had to bow out.

Interesting you don`t know who sanctions your favorite event the "SVRA"? The ELVF which is run by the VSCDA used to be my favorite event as well until the VSCDA turned into a bunch of pussy`s... redvetracr

Sorry to offend you, Howard...actually I do know who sponsors the event but obviously slipped. Don't know if that makes me a "pussy" or not, but, my apologies. Do you want to break the news to all of your buddies that were there that they are now lesser men for racing with the VSCDA? I had a great weekend beating Corvettes...could really care less who sanctions the events as long as I can have three great days at RA like I just did. I thought you were selling your cars and that is why you weren't there?
I'll go write "VSCDA" on the chalkboard 200 times after class.

Nope - "Pudums" wasn't along for this one, but she'll probably be along for the next one...not sure how she'll fair in heels if we do much standing ...
