I thought this was an interesting picture. If you examine the e-brake assembly closely you will notice the pedal blackout continued onto the gear for the lock out. I thought that was cool and I never have seen that before, although I am sure it happened many times. Also the factory workers never bent the fourth tab on the pedal trim...BKH

I would imagine its only a matter of time before somebody offers up a Yenko/Harrell/RC bellhousing for sale. Any guesses to just how long some enterprising reader of this post offers one up for sale as such?..BKH

------As you can see RC Industries was located in Medina, Ohio. Russ Ceifert was the main guy. In 1965, at least, Russ also had a speed shop located in my hometown (Medina) and Akron Arlen worked there. He used to come up to my Dads hardware store and by nuts and bolts. Russ was a bit abrupt most of the time but Arlen was the same Arlen you know today, just a nice, nice guy! The business was right on my way home from work so I would stop almost every day and just look at stuff. Russes bellhousings were the first really safe ones and probably saved many a foot. A little bird told me that Russ went on to California and might have become a very high up principal at American Racing. Can any one back me up on that???........Bill S

I've owned several of those RC Industries scattershields and have always thought they were a neat vintage speed part. That one pictured is a cast iron one which is a bit more common than the manganese moly ones (looks like aluminum)out there. I'm down to just one right now that happens to be fully polished (neat!) and it'll end up in front of a Super Muncie in my '62.

You forgot to add: Motion/Nickey/Dana/rare/vintage/gasser/rat rod/ratrod/NHRA/ (etc.)
It's called the "eBay effect."
