After a lengthy discussion with other moderators and administrators of this site, it has been determined that some new rules need to be applied to the Classified sections of this site. These rules apply to both the "Cars for Sale" AND "Parts for Sale" sections.
1. ALL ads must include a price. There will no longer be warnings. If your ad has no price, it will be deleted.
2. Classified Ads of any sort should now be posted by MEMBERS ONLY! The 2 free ad's idea has been abused since it's inception, so from here on out, unless you have stars, don't post an ad... or it will be deleted.
3. Post ONLY items that YOU own. No posting things for friends, no ebay/craigslist links to items you do not own, and if you DO link an ebay auction that you own, it must either be "no reserve", or you must reveal your reserve price.
4. The satisfaction guarantee remains in effect, and should be much easier to monitor with ALL ads being placed by members only.
Simply stated, the Classifeds Section is intended for use by sYc members in good standing, to sell their cars or parts to other sYc members. It's not a discussion forum, so please don't use it as such... If you have a question about an car or part, PM the seller, don't post it in the ad, as this not only takes up space, but also bumps the ad over other member's ads. Refrain from posting things such as "Nice car", "good luck with the sale", or other comments that also just servea to bump an ad to the top of the list.
Be courteous to each other, follow the rules, and these sections will hopefully run smoother than ever.

Great on point #1 & half good on #4 but #'s 2 & 3 mean no more 'heads up' postings to ads on eBay or elsewhere for hard to find cars/parts someone spots but doesn't own?.
Also gone will be links to interesting cars for sale that may have been worthy of discussion here...not criticism..
And w/ the 2 free ads for non-members gone, postings by transients who may have posted interesting cars or parts for sale here and the interesting threads that may result will be gone too...Roof Duece, bro's Motion Vette as examples..
You Mods do a great job and if the problems are worse than many of us know, so be it but it'll be sad to see some of these good things gone because of a few ad abusers..

What happened to all the other responses that were posted today. I suggested a page for Ebay and non member owned stuff but it was deleted.

Those are the rules. Like 'em, love 'em, hate 'em, they need to be followed and they will be enforced by the moderators and administrators of this site.
