Within the next couple of days, the board will be under going some changes.

First of all, we have assigned a couple of moderators, to help over see the board. They are Charley Lillard and HawaiianCamaro (Jeff Chlupsa). Their duties will be to see that this board remains the ultimate supercar site, a place where all supercar enthusiasts can come and share information. They will be empowered to ban from the site any/all members that chronically abuse the forum policies regarding good manners and respect for fellow members. Posts that they deem inappropriate will be deleted and the posting member will be admonished. It's a fun place to hang out, but be aware...we now have an enforcement department that would very much appreciate your cooperation and support. Disagreements will never totally disappear, but Charley and Jeff will be responsible for enforcing fair and courteous debate, without tolerance of personal attacks or demeaning rhetoric. Let's play nice, gentlemen and ladies.

Second. A few rules, some new, some old.

1. Everyone who posts needs to *honestly* fill out their profile. I for one like to know who I am communicating with. We will give everyone a few days to get this done, but we urge everyone to do it ASAP.

2. Try and keep posts "somewhat" supercar related. I, like most others on here, enjoy all musclecars, but after all, this site is for the discussion of the "supercars".

3. No un-warranted bashing of of cars, parts or other board members. This does not mean that negative posts are not allowed, but must be factual.

4. Posts need to be done in a polite, professional manner. After all, a lot of musclecar enthusiasts look up to us, as we are the care takers for some of the rarest and most collectable cars in the world. Lets show them we are worthy of the adoration.

5. The classified ad section will remain free for now, but donations to the sYc accepted. This section will be for the "causal use" of board members, meaning not a place for sellers to set up shop. Anyone who would like sell items in quantity, either parts or cars, please contact the sYc. We will we will be glad to work with you.

What or how do you decide what is a supercar or what isnt a supercar? Is a supercar a factory car or a modified car done by the dealerships like Yenko and Nickey? Or is a supercar a production car with a factory aluminum intake and solid lifters with big valve heads and so on? What im trying to say or find out is,is this site only for the ELITE CROWD that can buy such cars as Yenkos and motion cars or are people with L78 cars and Z/28s and SS cars also welcome? Is a car that was developed and made to compete in the trans am series considerd a supercar like the 67 Z/28 or the 340 challenger T/A? Lets not forget a 67 Z/28 held the superstock record in the 10 second bracket and im sure some here know who did it.I like this site, there are a lot of nice people here. But if its just for the upperclass i guess I should go elswhere.LMK thanks syc.Ron.

Interesting this was brought to the top after 6+ years...Actually for the most part all the rules from 2003 still apply. Some folks could benefit from reading/re-reading them again. The main change from these original rules is in regards to the classifieds... while they are still free to sYc members, ad placement is now limited to members only. As for the "supercars" term, while that IS still the primary focus and original reason for this site's existance, it's by far not the only topic allowed. As anyone who has hung out here over the past 6 years knows, we are free to talk about just about anything this side of politics or religion... and have actually added several "new" categories for various other makes, models, etc...we even have a members rides section that is totally devoted to non-supercars. What is/isn't a supercar has been discussed to death, but I don't think its an issue in regards to what is "allowed" to be discussed here, nor do I think it ever has been. The bottom line is to just use good judgement in posting.
