For you Olds experts, are there accurate production numbers for 1970 W30s by body style & transmission type?

While not a site that I think is known for accuracy, this is pretty much on target for what you seek:

http://www.yearone.com/updatedsinglepages/id_info/cutlass/cutlassprodnums.html

I can tell you the ragtop split is 168 auto/96 stick. Hardtop figures are about 1500/1000, and for the post coupe, I think they made more stick.

Thanks much. I wish they were as explicit in that summary, as they were for the Buick GS.

I could be wrong but I had a '70 442 Post and seem to recall the Auto/Stick production for Post cars as 1065 M40's w/ the balance of 623 being Sticks?.

The above mentioned numbers seem to match up with the numbers at 442.com.

Not sure of the numbers as for transmission type, although I do know that there were 264 4-speed 442 convertibles made in 1970

Just like the Year One site, I would think twice in using the 442.com site for "facts."

I also believe there were more than 264 4-speed 4-4-2 ragtops built in 1970. Where are you getting your info?

Pete, you could be right - was going from memory/a hunch.

Coupe - 4-speeds (142), Auto (120), Total (262)
