Tom, Your car looks really nice across from that new 2010 Corvette Grand Sport. I still think your big block L-88 pumps out more power than that LS3!

Tom,
Second design L88s will put out slightly more power than a ZL1. Those engines have all the improvements of the ZL1 ie. holley double pumper carb, open chamber heads, stronger rods bolts and revised camshaft. The only difference is the short block material and the iron block was better for HP than the aluminum block was. As for the new ZR1, it only took 40years and a power adder to do it.

Paul, whatever the speed was, it was well over 200mph which is simply incredible considering that it happened nearly 40 years ago! The open chambered L88s are truly the king of the musclecar era although my opinion is biased
