Colin, are you bringing a car to race at the BRIC? I'm sure you'll have something in the Saturday evening Concourse show.

Hey Tim,

I wouldn't miss it! I'll be racing the black 66 GT350 in Group 6, B/Prod. Just did the SAAC Vintage Race in Utah, hopefully the KIC won't be as hot!

Race car will be in the Friday night concours, bringing my narrow-hip 427 Cobra for the Saturday night street car concours.

Stop by and hang out with us at the track, my rig will be in the main paddock or somewhere close-you can't miss it, white Renegade toter with silver and black flames on the truck and trailer. I will be there Wednesday to drop off the truck, back Thursday AM for the test day and for the duration.

See you there-
Colin

Tim, I'll be the one checking ID's at Colin's Rock Star bus.You know how the young honeys love those hot shot drivers. See you at the track or the concours in town. Either place, Colin's cars will be the ones to see.

What fun this will be. Two Road America virgins will be along from Austin. We'll be in Paul D's big Freightliner motor home staying at the track. I'm looking forward to being awakened by race cars in the morning.

So you and Mike will be neighbors-he'll be sleeping in my truck. Don't wake him up too early, we might keep him up past 8pm checking ID's

Don't be shy, if you get bored we never turn away people looking to be crew members...

I'll come by your spot in the pits. If that 427 Cobra needs a driver to get back home, I'm in...........

Rob,

Not sure what Colin has, but recently my neighbors convinced me to try "Purple Ice" by Royal Purple. They are distributors. I tried it in a BBC and took the car out in 100+ temps for a 30 minute roundtrip. No overheating. Would not have tried this without it. Read the instructions as they are most effective with a less than 50/50 mix of coolant to water, but not less than, I believe 30 (coolant) / 70 (water).

The stuff is called "MotorMAX" - here is the website:

http://www.firefreezemotormax.com/

We use it in the race car, 100% distilled water with (1) bottle of Red Line Water Wetter simply for rust prevention and water pump lubrication, and one bottle of MotorMAX. If it gets really hot out we have used up to 2 bottles of MotorMAX. In my experience, this stuff lowered the water temp about 25 degrees. My race car runs at about 185-190 water temp in sprints (20 mile races +/-), and that is a 295 cid Ford being worked hard, I shift at 8200 rpm!

I use MotorMAX in all of my street cars, but with 80% water, 20% coolant, 1 bottle Water Wetter. It took my GSS 440 Dart from a car that ran at 220 or higher to about 195-200 now, no matter how hot it is outside.

The stuff isn't cheap (about $25.00 a bottle), but it seems to work. I think they offer some kind of guarantee.

I've never used Purple Ice but have heard it is like Water Wetter, it reduces surface tension which works better in some cars than others. If Sam says it works in Az I would say it is a good product!!

Colin
