I am not much of for posting sad news, but since I consider many of you as my "extended family", I felt it necessary.
Yesterday, my Boss and co-owner of Championship Auto Shows, Inc. Bob Larivee, Jr., lost his 19 year old daughter Kara in a tragic accident on I-75. She was on her way to school around 9am, stopped in traffic caused by construction. She was hit from the rear by a Semi and was pronounced dead at the scene. Although we weren't really "close", Kara was kind of like "my buddy" from the family and always had a hug for me when she stopped by the office or at a show.

Bob,
I just hung up the phone with Ann and she wanted for us to express our sincerest condolences to not only you and Vicki but also Kara's family.
I have a 19 year old daughter who means more to me than life itself. I cannot imagine in my worst nightmare what Kara's family must be going through. To lose their daughter in the prime of her life is indescribable. What a tragic loss! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There are no words that could express the void and emptiness in a parent's heart left by such a tragic loss.

I can't even imagine what that would be like. How does a family deal with that.

Very sad to hear Bob. My condolences and prayers for her and her family.
I also have a daughter around that age and this is a stark reminder to say " I love you" to her and the rest of the family as often as I can.

Thanks for all of the kind words and thoughts.
As many of you said, I can't imagine the pain the family is having to deal with. My heart hurts for them and obviously there are no words to express this.
Last night Ian (my Son) and I just went out on the boat and chilled, spending time together and talking. We are really close and I can't imagine ever not having those times together.
Again, I consider you guys (and ladies) my "extended family" and truly appreciate being able to have an outlet to let some of this out. I am sure my hurt could never compare to what the Larivee family is having to deal with.

Our sincere condolences as well Bob. And we fully understand how the folks on this site have become part of our families. We spend a number of hours on this site and have all become close friends. When you're hurting, you go to your family for support. I've done it as well and these people never let you down.
God bless you, yours, and the Larivee family.
