i didn't feel right about breaking up an original drive train and pop car just for the motor and trans http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
so now ken has another nova project http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Alan, I am so glad to hear that you went back and got the Nova to be put back together with the original motor and trans. Just think what could of happened to that car if somebody else had bought the motor and trans only. This went from a potential parts car to being restored by one of the best. Neat to hear.

Mark, you deserve some recognition for initially posting the ebay ad on this site. Alan deserves the credit for buying the parts and then persuing the Nova to make it whole again.
Teamwork within the sYc membership is what makes this site the best. Good job guys http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

I have the fun of finding these ads but Alen deserves the credit for having the nerve to follow up and making the purchase. It's like the orange Nova he is putting together right now. The car was listed on this website twice with very little action that I saw. A true diamond in the rough just waiting for the right person to take it to the next level. Alen was the guy that stepped up and he has the contacts to have all his cars put together to perfection. My only question is whats next.

jude, you are quite right about the help from mark on the e-bay advertisement http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif i don't think i would have seen the ad without his heads up posting on the site.

thx mark for starting the ball rolling in the right direction http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Alan I am going to like this when it gets done. I am going off of memory but I think you now have a black Nova, orange Nova and now a green Nova. Have you thought of getting the color charts of 69 and 70 Novas and checking them off as you add the cars to your collection? I used to do this when I was a kid with Hot Wheels.

i think the fathom green with the black vinyl roof will look very nice.....

BB nova's are still pretty affordable right now...

i'm not so sure they always will be http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i didn't intend to end up with so many nova's, it's all ken's fault he kept twisting my arm http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif and when the right car becomes available sometimes ya gotta go with the flow http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I recognize those drag strip pictures as being taken at Avilla Indiana, our closest little 1/8 mile drag strip.

It simply doesn't get any better than Fathom Green with a black hat IMO... My favorite color combo for 69, and as sinister as it gets. Pic 3 is a killer vintage shot btw.

You forgot the burgandy/blk top 69 BB column auto. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I vote we put it back to picture 3 trim. Maybe throw on the dog pans.
I wonder if they took the SS out of the grille to add to the sleeper look, or if it was in the way for a cam change, and they just left it off.
