Posting Videos tutorial

Bruce (or anyone else),
Could we have a step by step instruction on:
>An efficient (quick) way of uploading videos to Photobucket
>Which video link is best to copy
>Which way is best to add it to a thread for viewing.

I've managed to add one but it takes people to my Photobucket account to view it, rather than a nice fuller WMV play screen.

The files you may upload must have the following extension: .gif,.jpg,.bmp,.txt,.doc,.htm,.html,.pdf,.jpeg

well....I found out what doesn't work. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif.AVI files.

So, no video files may be hosted by this site. I have been exploring the other sites that host videos such as Google and Youtube.

here is an older google video I posted, they offer full screen. My camera was not the best. 409 video maple grove (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3376466688273027525&q=source:005770555919278286374 &hl=en) google will accept many popular formats, such as AVI, ASF, QuickTime, Windows Media and MPEG formats. For example, .avi, .asf, .mov, .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg, .mp4, .ra, .ram, and .mod are all acceptable file extensions.



this is a YouTube video made from a DVD of a TV program Alex Koehne (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8w4bvkzNy0) you tube hosts most file formats, including .wmv, .mov, .mpg, or .avi.

My camera takes wmv videos and I'm using Photobucket to host them. My 2 issues are the extremely long time it takes to upload the video to Photobucket and the small screen presentation on the Photobucket page rather than the larger view I get on my own with the wmv screen.

I am not 100% positive but I believe you can only use the windows media player for files on your PC or attachments you have downloaded. I have not seen it used for any videos that are hosted by an outside source.

The Google Video is very easy to use and they offer the full screen option. They also have an option for uploading large/multiple videos quickly. I would say give them both a try and see which works best for you. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
