I'm trying to get some help on restoring a shifter from a 72 Z-28...we sent it back to Hurst thinking it was one of theirs. it was sent back saying they could not handle the rebuild and that it was built by ITM ( Inland Tool and Manu. ). I have a 2 part question:
- looking correct to the car...is this in fact correct to the car?
- if it is, does anyone know who can correctly rebuild and replate it?
thanks in advance...Jeff http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I thought that a 1972 Z28 with a Muncie would come factory with a Hurst shifter. I thought the Saginaw equipped cars came with the ITM.
