Id be interested in it if you get into it right.
As far as value goes I thought the car sold not to long ago? Its definately not in the relm of the Ray Alan Caror Red Alert, but it is a neat car IMO.
PM with the details.

I remember that Chevelle very well. Used to see it at SIR all the the time, talked to Buck and his Canadian Friends all the time. That chevelle was as consistent as ckockwork. The Neat thing about it, is, it is a Original NON SS 402-LS-3 Malibu Convertible. Buck also had a Fathom Green LS-5 Convertible that ran pretty hard. Buck could build a Q-Jet for NHRA stock classes better than anybody.

I concur that Buck Kinney was a very well known and famous West Coast Super Stock racer, back in the day !!!! I cant begine to place value on his car. As others have said, not as well known or as infamous as Ray Allen, but read his accomplishments and wins !!!!!!!!!!!

More important, it was John Hoffman's Super Stocker. Very famous in Div 1 NED. Car was ordered new as a 400 Malibu Convert. John Hoffman was a NJ machinist that did all of Truppi Kling Competition's piston work back in the day. Hoffman Machine + Truppi-Kling = Record Setting Champion. Great car to own in my book. Thought it sold at BJ for around $100Kish? In this market probably a little less. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif

The car sold at Barrett last year for $110 including the commission. Me personally Id want to be in the car for the 50k to 75k range in todays market, Im not saying the car isnt worth more but IMO thats where I think its value is.

Guys I appreciate the information . I know the seller pretty much my whole life and he has very nice cars but always wants a very large price for his stuff. He wanted me to give him 175k in trade. Doesn't sound like a good deal so it looks like I have to go do an ebay listing right now . Just wait till this car sells then go shopping http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
