I am looking to purchase a 1969 Chevelle SS L78 300 Deluxe Post with documentation. I would also appreciate an info on these cars in general. I know they are hard to find and not cheap. I figured the guys on this site would know who might have one for sale.
Thanks,

Hi John,
Thanks for the info but I am looking for a Original 69 Chevelle SS Deluxe Post car. From some of the info I received from Dan (Postsedan)and others finding a documented L78 may be hard to do. I would be very pleased finding a Post car like Mike Bond's recent purchase. Mike's a lucky guy that I don't know but sounds like he more than deserves it.
Thanks to all on and off the site that have responded to my post. I'll keep looking and I have some old and new car friends helping me.

There's a black '69 Post car in the background of a fresh thread on Canadian Poncho w/ a for sale sign on it and reported to be priced at 18 thou..

http://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/index.spark?forumID=118110&p=3&topicID=20278671

If an original SS Post car and what Hp, who knows...but you may be able to track it down and if an original Canadian car, it's documentable!.

Good luck!

I talked with the dealer about that one. It has non-original engine, trans and rear. Has dual fuel lines , so was probably a 325 or 350 horse car.
Redone interior with Malibu, not 300 Series, door panels and seats.
Nice body on the car though.

Thanks MosportGreen66 and Rixls6 for the info on the Post car. I'm probably looking for more of a stock/original car. But keep them coming and I greatly appreciate everyone on this site that has helped me in my quest. Postsedan(Dan) is in the process of negotiating on a car for me right now. We will keep all of you posted. But, I am still looking!!!

69 SS 300 Deluxe Post

Hello, My name is Rick and I own a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 300 Deluxe Pillar Coupe. I have been doing a frame-off rotissery resto. for the past 6 + years. The big dollar work is done except for pain, in which I have the materials. The car is a roller with many new parts waiting to go on. Short block is done, 396 .040 over, forged Eagle crank, Eagle Rods, Diamond Racing pistons - flat top, closed chamber heads, Borge Warner Super T-10 4 spd is rebuilt, Centerforce clutch, rebuilt 12 bolt 4:10 rear end, brand new Holley Street Avenger Carb, new SS wheels/tires, frame and suspension powder coated, bumpers re-chromed, black paint code outside, black interior bench with white stripes, many more extras. Really would like to finish and keep but money has been tied up. Considering selling for the right price or I'll just let it sit until I have money to finish. Call me to further discuss if interested:
Rick 586-933-6876 any day 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Eastern time, or send message thru this post. Take Care and have a good one!
