Scott, no offense but take them off. They don't look right on that car. IMO

Nice car Scott. They don't look bad to me. Nothing wrong with something a little different. JMO http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Not trying to speak for you, Scott, but it sounds like you have had it Day 2 for a while and just need to change the look. I had an original exhaust '69 SS that dumped straight down behind the wheelwells. Clean. Lately I've been doing the Gardener thing out the back. 6 of one, half dozen of the other, I like them both. And "FW" 15" rallies are cheap if you want stock appearing...my .02US...

Car looks beautiful. I would consider finding some Showtubes instead. There is nothing cooler than Showtubes.

Looks like another great car...I can dig the day 2 look as much as the next guy, but those sidepipes just ain't cuttin' it for me. If they've only been there since the 80's that isn't really "Day 2" anyhow, more like Day 4,065. Six the side pipes and put the right exhaust on it...Wheels too for that matter...The right exhaust, a nice set of Wide Treads and the original rallys and it'll look stunning. JMO of course.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Scott,
If your car runs a small block, Hooker still makes the Supercomp side exhaust, but only in chrome...I've been trying to get them to make me a set painted black...I can't see why it is that difficult because they have Corvette sets in black?...So for now I have the chromies on my '69 Camaro even if it is Day 1065 ( http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) instead of day 2...I'll always keep them on there cause that's what the car had on it when I first bought it 14 yrs ago......there is defnitely a love/hate affection among people for this type of exhaust...I love, just don't like the chrome finish...except on Les's 70 BM Camaro.
Oh yeah...and Hooker also makes the "universal" show tubes that look like the Supercomp sidmount exhaust except only one pipe flows any exhaust.

That Camaro rocks!

I know I am probably in the minority, but nothing say's 70's hot rods like a nice set of side pipes, and I love'em on certain cars.

The flat black ones look cool too.
