I looked for my frame stamp on the buildsheet and did not find it. Is it found on any other documentation?
Also, the date stamp "6 12 70" appears to be followed by a "2". Any insight? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Sam,
If you clean a larger area around what you have pictured, I think you will find the buildsheet code to the left of what's seen.

Thanks Rick. I'll give it a try. Should I find the "XU-R" (box 11 of BS) stamped on the frame or would that only be noted via the sticker placed on the frame?
This is a 32,000 mile LS6 that spent most of its time in the south and did not see too much wx.

Maybe the 2 stand for 2nd shift? Or Line number etc?

Sam,
I looked at mine and found the XU stamped in without an R. It's buried behind an exhaust resonator, so I couldn't get a good look or pic, so there may be an R that I missed.
