1970 Chevelle Real code "19" Black, 2 orginal build sheets (We removed from car) I have known about this car for years. I finally bought it and we just completed a frame off on it. The owner I bought it from bought it in 1970 used and she sold in 1976. She bought it back in 1978 and parked it in the garage and that is where it sat until I purchased it. She returned to our shop to have her pic taken with the car completed.
Original born with engine, trans.
$69,000

That is kick-a** that the 2nd owner bought herself a 454 with an M22. There has got to be some good stories behind that! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Very nice car, love to own it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif
That's the first LS5 I've heard of to come with a CRW (4.10) rear from the factory.
It's not the original factory rearend. He never said it was.
A 4:10 wasn't possible with an LS-5.

Not to hijack the thread, but that 70 Road Runner was the buy of the century! $77,000 for a 9000-mile 70 hemi orange, Hemi Road Runner. I remember that car from the 1985 or 86 Mopar Nationals after it was just found - amazing car! Good luck with it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

I remember that Hemi RR from when it was in my garage! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Great car, one of the few non-mulletized Mopars out there. I saw it in Monterey at the RM sale and a Mecum, was hoping it would go to a good home. Mission accomplished! Congrats, Andy.

Wow-missed this thread. Congrats Andy. You stole it. This one baffled me at that price http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif . Talk about rare and all there. The original owner is a gem! Enjoy it. I would have bot it back if I had the dough. BTW, the write up was sketchy if I recall particularly about the tranny. I was not sure it was original, but Galen verified it in fact was and put it in writing for me as part of his visual inspection. Entire power train is BORN WITH! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

There is a neat story with the CRW rear. Carla's husband wanted to take her car street racing and of course he did not tell her about it. So like any good gear head he lied to his wife, told her the 3.31 rear end was junk, put in the 4.10. Then he lied again and said he was working on Sat. night. He came clean when she saw his pay stub the next week missing Sat night. The original rear is still in her attic and it is mine as soon as we can get to it. And yes, they are still married!
