HELP HELP!! I'm being invaded by 70 Chevelles.....

Went out to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio last night to a real nice car cruise in the downtown area of city. Met up with Mike A. (SYC Member M22 Mike)out there. I rode out with a friend of mine that has a fathom (or as some like to call it "phantom") blue 70 Chevelle SS he just finished a frame off resto on... There were 5 other of our friends that tagged along with their Chevelles.. These pictures were taken along the Ohio Turnpike on the way to the cruise.. The trees are starting to get into full fall bloom... Thought you guys would like these neat shots...

We were just cruisin around the speed limit... Actually traffic, large semis and other stuff was passing us... The speeds were pretty high. We didn't see any troopers but they do have a reputation in Ohio... My friend's Chevelle has the bias ply tires and those things are a little scary once you get around 70MPH...

Nice shots! Reminds me of the late 70's when you would often look in your rear view mirror and see a nice muscle car coming up behind you. We just don't see that much anymore. I took my Corvette out to a local Saturday morning get-together and ran her down the highway for 20 minutes or so. People were looking at the car like they'd never seen an old Corvette before! Yes these cars do not seem to be on the road much anymore.I had my 68 Z down your way Zedder at Bronte on monday. People giving me the thumbs up everywhere. Some older muscle cars were around on such a nice weekend.

The comment about Phantom blue cracked me up. It drives me crazy when people say my car is Phantom blue. A few have even started to argue with me, so now I don't even try to correct people. Brian, the "phantom blue" thing has been a long standing joke with our group of friends.. I have a very good friend that always says that and like you said, when I try to correct him he gets mad at me.... So its a big joke.. We call my friend's 70 the "phantom of the opera Chevelle" Its funny how people really think that is the name of the color..

Rick, yeah my friend does have 70 Ohio YM 396 plates and mine are MY 396... His are real too.. Thats a neat Chevelle, it has a parchment interior which you don't see on cranberry red cars too much....
