I wanted to say hello to all on this forum.
I posted here long time ago forgot my user name so I made the same one I have over at Team Chevelle.
I was admiring the thread on the green z28 and the old pictures posted by Dog427435 the best old time pictures going, and thanks for the pictures he took the time to post up.
Also I am sure their is a bunch of you members that already know me from the other site and those of you that dont I wanted to say hello.
Any ways I just about wrapped up finishing my 69 chevelle convertible I bought from the original owner so here is my ride.

Welcome Brad,
Nice 69 Vert....does it have a Power Top or Manual Top? What plant is the car from? What kind of shape was the car when you got it? What was done?
Dan.

Brad, I live in the Ashton Lakes subdivision, a couple of miles from the Cabbage Patch. What's happening in St. Augustine?
I'll be at Canal Street next month, hopefully with a '70 Corvette 'vert...stop by and say hello. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

I thought for sure I bought the 2 convertible hold down pieces sticking up just above the inside rear quarter panel?
If not my mistake, was another person.

Hey Brad,
Nice to see you over here. As I mentioned over on Team Chevelle....AWESOME looking car http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif That has got to be my favorite color combo on a 69 convert, although I would have just had to add the white D96 side stripe were it mine http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Hey Bill you know me if my car had the D69 on the build sheet it would be for sure on it. I still want one on it but I guess I will just have to wait, also you know those correct boys will just bust my chops if I put them on it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

Brad,
I certainly understand your dilemma. IMHO... There are some things that even the 'correct' freaks allow to deviate from OEM. Things like adding or deleting a vinyl top, adding sport wheels to a car that came with steel wheels and dog dish caps, adding or deleting OEM striping.....you get my drift??? If you like that stripe, I seriously doubt that anyone truly credible is gonna bust your chops for adding that on. After all, it could have been easily added by a dealership to satisfy a customer request...and you can bet that some were so done. On the other hand, if you're OK with it as is - then so am I http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
