Hello everyone, i'm here to finally introduce myself. My name is Jim and i've been looking around here for some time now. i am 45 years old, I have a unrestored 70 LS6 that was special ordered monaco orange, along with a 72 nova. My dad and I are into these cars, it is a father and son venture. we also have a 57 chevy and a 34 ford coupe. Just wanted to say hello, and what a great bunch of knowledgeable people. we've owned this chevelle since 87, are the 2nd owners, and still learning about this car. what a great hobby. jIm http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Welcome Slim. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif Neat Chevelle. What are your plans for the LS6? You may want to consider entering it in the LS6 Registry! (http://ls6registry.com/)

Nice car.
Welcome to the site. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Like you said, lots of knowledgeable guys here.
I saw some of the talk going on at Team Chevelle about orange LS6's. Can't be very many out there.
I have a buildsheet for one that calls the paint color "Funk Orange", whatever that's supposed to be. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

never heard of "Funk Orange", i guess different dealerships had different names for that color. i have 2 build sheets with the car, neither have a paint code or a color name, lucky the car still has its original paint. originally it didn't have any stripes, it was also stripe delete.

Cool Slim...I saw your posts of your beautiful Chevelle on Team Chevelle the other day. That color just looks right on a Chevelle.

How cool...two Team Chevelle guys stop lurking on the same day... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif

Jim, I am guessing(based on the houses) you are close to the old high school. Neat color on that car as well. Looks real nice. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

I say let Slim do what he wants with his neat ride. You know what they say:

You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit in the wind
You don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger and
YOU DON'T MESS AROUND WITH SLIM
