Now that thread has been removed on Team Chevelle, and the reason given is that Juan is sending legal notices to the people who posted on that thread.

Well..basically this person was selling a rear end on ebay and alluded to his 11A built LS6 he was restoring. Not only was it a first week Nov car,it was also a -- Monaco orange! Someone started a thread about a Nov LS6 and it kinda took off from there. It basically became a game of show and tell,he was tellin people everything but showin squat.Every time he was asked nicely for some factual evidence he would play the victim, and cite numerous articles from buff mags that "validated as written truth" the mythical Nov LS6. (I have all the issues too and they validate nothing) He was asked to put up or shut up,his bruised ego couldn't handle that(especially since Howard had seen the sheet and of course it's bogus) and he retained a lawyer pursuing libel charges on a few TC members who disputed him and his cars claim. All he had to do was come clean, instead he took the low road. Like Howard said the thread has been removed for review, most likely for good so in the interest of this car surfacing down the road I will post the PM correspondence between this character and myself here so it is archived for reference. I have retained Robert Shapiro http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Anyway my number is XXX_XXX_XXXX This car belongs to my boy (13) and I. We had a great experience doing a father-and-son restoration/project with this car. It been part of what we do for the last three years. Previous owner had it for 35 years. An interesting story onto itself. Take care...
Hello, sounds like you are having a blast with the car, what a great experience for you and your son to reflect back on years down the road.
I hope you didn't find my post slanderous, that was not my intention. There are many passionate people on this forum that are well versed in chevelle history, unfortunately some pretty large ego's go along with that knowledge. The subject of nov built LS6's has been a frustration for many years with these. I am very passionate about it as well.I own the pilot LS6,whicn is the earliest documented and regarded within the chevelle world as the first production LS6 built. You have stated that your LS6 is a first week Nov built car. If you chose not to share the info that is an elective decison, but with all due respect your car and paperwork has been seen by very knowledgeable people and deemed not to be real. You might indeed have a real monaco(not hugger) orange LS6,but it wasn't a nov built one. The LS6 entered production on 12-8,yet you say your car was built five weeks earlier. Perhaps you are reading the trim tag wrong, could it possibly be a 01A build.? I am not looking to question you word, but until you provide ,in a public arena, some factual evidence to support you claim the car will continue to get questioned by the community. There have been many claims of nov ls6's over the years, and quite a few bogus build sheets and cars later they have all been debunked. Trust me i am not one of the super egos on here looking to call you out on the car, that's why am i am responding in private. Many will not be that subtle. If you really believe your car to be what you claim then I would suggest a more proactive stance in the public respect..Like plant built at ,VIN# photos of the block, trim tag etc,or better yet have the car certified by one of the benchmark experts like Rick Nelson,Jeff Dotterer,or Chris White. If real it will add immense vaue to the car to have their inspection. Until then it will remain a story car.
Best of luck on the restoration, hope you take this as constructive
Mark

Thanks for your good wishes. Unfortunately for I have found it necessary to contact my attorney to pursue legal advise, and action from him having to do with what has been published on-line by some of those of you in this forum. I forwarded messages, links, and the authors of posts having to do with our car. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when they malitiously cause damage on venues such as Team Chevelle then it's destructive, and in some cases a reason to litigate

Has anyone ever seen Howard or Jerry (BJ LV thread) in the same room? I think they might be one and the same person http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
