I have 4 Uniroyal white lettered tires. My original has UUA613 moulded into it. The other three are a little newer: UAF260, UAF287, and UAF287. How does this coding break down? Thanks.
Keith
Were these tires manufactured in Canda by chance?

I bought three from a friend who had them on a street rod. He bought them through a tire store, so I understand, here in Canada in the very early '70s. The fourth came from our COPO Chevelle. It came from Baltimore so I would assume that this tire was American made but maybe not.
"Made in Canada" will be on the sidewall in small raised letters if they were.
I can't find the those plant codes in any of my records.

Have you tried contacting Uniroyal in Elmira? I don't think they were closed down. They may be able to help you.

Thanks Brad for the Elmira information. There used to be a Uniroyal plant in Lindsay, about 10 miles away. I don't think they made tires though. I checked my original spare that came with the car from Baltimore. It is the UUA613 coded tire had has "Made in USA" moulded into it. I'll check the other three later.

I put pictures of the original Uniroyal tire on Webshots.
