So....I found out I AM THE GUILTY ONE on why my tach stopped working. While "gentlty" blowing air to clear out the 40 years of dust on the 67 Impala Big Car, I kinda destroyed one of the delicate "clock-type" coil springs http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
So...who has a good recommendation to ship & repair? I found "The Tach Man" from http://www.tachman.com/gm.htm who seems knowledable from Greer, NC; any thoughts? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Stay away....Far away.....
I recommend Gary the Tachman too.
He did real nice work for me and in a timely fashion.
He even alerted and advised me NOT to have him re-screen my original 6500 redline tach as I asked him to,as it would be noticed, and wasn't that bad to begin with.Said it was to scarce an item to monkey with, and he was right.
I know there are a few on here who won't return to him though.
Just tell him Ken Tibor sent you, then duck.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I've used Gary "The Tachman" a few times. No issues at all. Although I called him a few months back to send him another tach I wanted rebuilt, and he told me he no longer worked on Sun Tachs.
I have never used Williamson's tach repair but I have heard very good things about them.
