Notice That Ronnie Kaplan Engineering (RKE) built the engine for this Gasser. Ronnie is the Bill Thomas/Smokey Yunick of the Midwest.
Nickey hired him in 1958 to be the Crew Chief of the dealership's road race cars.
You can also make out the Nickey Chicago/Bill Thomas Display in the back ground. Nickey was very active promoting their Conversion cars from 1966 until 1977.

Here is a cool pic. CT Engineering á.k.a Chick Thatcher. He also sponsored 'Psycho Too' the 1963 Nickey Sold Nova/ Vintage Gasser.
If you look close you can see a 1968 Nickey Camaro in the back ground.

there is a guy selling prints of similar photos on ebay from time to time, very costly for reproductions...

Cool Pic. I have that one too. A friend gave it to me. Who has the original? That is a young Don Swiatek across the table, selling 1967 Nickey Conversion Cars.
