Hi

Just picked up a new project car 71 GS 455 coupe. made in Flint Michigan and exported to Canada. I have the option sheet from GM of Canada Vintage vehicle services.
I see L74 which is straight forward. the one I am not sure of is WE4 GS 455 , they both state 455 engine . why the two codes.

thanks

Sounds like a cool car!.
Isn't the WE4 the trim package that gives you the GS455 emblems etc?.

WE4 is the GS455 package. L74 is which engine goes in that package.
I don't know that both options would have actually shown up on the window sticker. The Canadian docs often break apart options that are included with other options.

That is what I was thinking but was not 100% sure.

I have seen this quite a few times on the Canadian docs as well. The group that included the options and the options of the group broken out separately by RPO #.
