I recently purchased a set of chrome valve covers for my l-78 Camaro- Is there any differences from 67, 68 ,69 ,70 etc- I will try to post a picture later tonight. one of the covers has dimple made on one of the ends anout 3 to 4 inches from the wire stand. I do nor remember seeing this before?

I'm not 100% positive, but I think that little bulge on the end is for 69 and maybe 70. Tom

They don't appear to be correct for a 70 Camaro, Chevelle or Nova, there are no sending unit or TCS wire hooks on the sides. If they were there they would have a rubber coating on them as well.

Only focusing on the driver side one (single hole)I agree with Sully on not being correct for 70. I think this is a 69 only design, but not certain whether is was used in 68. The spark wire tower is in the correct position for a 69 Camaro, forward of the rear bolt hole. Chevelle was the same design, except that the spark wire tower was aft of the rear bolt hole. Missing, however, is the temp sending unit wire clip on the lower side. Could have been lost....look to see if there any weld marks.

Not to derail the thread...
But does anyone make a "cheater" taller version of that OE style chrome cover?? Need to hide some fancy valvegear http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

There are extensions you can buy, that are about 1/2" thick. If you paint the piece and the lower gasket, they sort of blend into the block. Peter Klute did that for an L88 on one of his shows.

Those look correct to me. The bulge on the driver's side is correct and the spark plug wire stand is in front of the bolt hole. No clips for wires and drippers. It took me over 10 years to find a set for my car.

Yes those covers pictured are a dead on match for mine on my 68 L-35 (86K mile). The stands (locations and layout) and slant are a dead on match.

Those look like 68s. 67s have two clips for the temp sender on the intake side. 68s don't have any clips and 69s have one clip on the exaust side. Right side is the same on 67 68 69 except with ca. smog. The bump on the end is correct for first gen. and the spark plug stand in front of the bolton the left side is also correct on camaros. I don't know anything about 70s
