Once again, we have confirmed that several National Publications will be covering Chevy Vettefest. I have agreed to allow national media to shoot cars after hours, (as in overnight) and I just got of the phone with one very well known and publicized editor who had several requests of anyone interested in getting their cars photographed, and especially for anyone hoping for a full blown feature;
FIRST AND FOREMOST; Don't cover your car when you leave! Also tell your neighbors, as they don't like photos with covered cars in them, even in the background. Obviously, we do not allow anyone to touch cars in any way and do not allow photographers to remove covers, so PLEASE; leave your car covers at home!
INFO SHEETS: Our friendly editor advised me to tell everyone to make sure their car number cars (the ones we give you with your name, city, state and make, model & year) are prominently displayed.
Any additional information, special features, engine size, unique facts etc should be listed and he REALLY likes data sheets with info. A typed or even nicely written sheet with the :good stuff" listed is a great idea!
He also asked for phone numbers, which can be written on the BACK of the car number sheet. If you are not comfortable with this, I told him I could connect you, but the more we give the editors and photographers, the better the chances of seeing your car in print!
SPREAD THE WORD and everyone DRIVE SAFE!

It aint me, Bruce, it is all of the great guys and ladies who have made the commitment and are doing all it takes to be a part of this. All I did was make some calls and alert them as to how special a gathering this really is.
Just about all of the "Big Guys" have said they are coming to cover the show and I know that several have rooms/flights booked, as I have the "big list" http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

From my coversation(s), I would say maybe one summary/highlight sheet and then additional with as much detail as you can give. If there is any interesting back stories, as in, say a family that races together or a car that "found" its original owner or maybe an interesting hunt, I am sure it will all help.
All the mags are looking for interesting angles... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/youguysrock.gif
Now..I gotta get some more work done so I can get a bit of sleep tonight. Starting at 6am tomorrow and 4am Friday!
EVERYONE BE SAFE AND ENJOY THE RIDE IN!

Bob - Thanks for a great show. We had a blast. Are you at liberty to list the publications that were in attendance, so we can all watch the newstand for coverage of the show? Thanks - Jeff
I am not for sure who else, but I had a film crew from Warsaw, Poland do a short piece on Red Alert.
Wonder what channel I need to watch to see that. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

The March issue of Muscle Car Review has pics of 13 cars from Fall Vettefest, plus a shot of the Z28 Showcase. Has anyone seen any coverage in any other magazines yet?

There were reps from Amos Publications which is Corvette and Muscle Car Enthusiast, Source Interlink, which in addition to Muscle Car Review also has Super Chevy, Chevy High Performance, Corvette Fever and several specialty Camaro and Chevelle pubs and also a rep from the various newly launched magazines from the Classic Chevy & Corvette Trader and Vette Vues.
