Seems like its got the paper to support the claims... what is paint code 927?

Hopefully this will be better than that L78 Nova I posted.

That is the Kevin Whitaker that owns 3 Chevy dealerships in Greenville SC. He has quite a collection of Chevy muscle including a red Z-16. I have seen several of his cars while at cruise-ins at his dealerships. He keeps 8 or 10 of them in the showroom at his main store.
James

BTW, The Z-28 didn't meet the reserve.
Here is a nice ride. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet...A1%7C240%3A1308 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-El-Camino-1959-Big-Block-Chevrolet-El-Camino-348-4-speed-TriPower_W0QQitemZ150310664183QQcmdZViewItemQQptZU S_Cars_Trucks?hash=item150310664183&_trksid=p3911. c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A13%7C39%3A1%7C240%3 A1308)

Neat car. That left pedal sure got a work out for a 6,000 mile car though.

plus the other details on the kick panels, speaker grills, etc

sure does NOT look like a 6900 mile car to me either, that clutch pedal looks like 160k ...

they turned down $10 k for a 88 Caprice ... ?

Holding out for the $11,392 sticker I guess. It does only have 52 miles.

yet it is an 88 Caprice that has had the back half of the car repainted, 52 miles or 520 or 5200 miles, yes it is a brand new 88 Caprice but I thought nearly 10 large is PLENTY for that car ...

maybe there is a market for tuna boats I am unaware of ...

price offered seemed fair considering the times ...

I remember the Red Z was in a garage north of Gaffney SC in the 80's it was on jack stands under a cover it had 21 miles on it at the time. I believe the guys name was Edwards he bought the car new. He had a lot of hi-po 67-69 Camaro's, some old drag cars, and a restoration shop/ parts business, we stopped at his place on the way back from CLT autofair and bought some parts for my mom's 67 conv.

My friend out of vacaville purchased this car from the original owner before selling the car on ebay about 18 months ago.The original owner worked on the assembly line in fremont as his car was being made.I do know that the paint is mostly original but one of the front fenders was replaced because of a small 12" dent. When i saw the fender i thought it could have been fixed. The original owner also respayed the sides of this car poorly maybe in his garage with spray cans. This is a very nice real honest survivor.
