My current trailer is approaching 8 YO and is showing signs of stress, almost 40K on it now..thinking its time to upgrade. Can.t decide what to get or even look at..5 th wheel??, lookng for opinions preferences etc.what does everyone like and use..brands??..thinking about another 26 footer. I have plenty of truck to ull with..07 GMC 3500 dually, duramax allison combo..would like to spend under 15K...your thoughts.

thanks

You looking for just basic car transportation, or track use, or lounge, or...?

If you plan on using for the track, then you should probably look into some cabinets...usual stuff like heavier axles is a good idea, but you can get about anything thrown on a trailer any more. We picked up a 40' Vintage gooseneck with living quarters in the front & room to haul a car in the rear...makes a day at the track a *LOT* more comfortable.

albert, this company has some real nice trailers. about 10 minutes from me..... www.westsidemotorcoach.com (http://www.westsidemotorcoach.com)

they have a 28' Classic Dominator with cabinets and all the good stuff for $13,500.....and will deal with you

Clill makes a great point...RacingJunk is where we found our trailer, and there will be a bunch of trailers for sale over the winter/off season.

Another personal suggestion...get one with a generator compartment & get a generator...if you get one with bottom cabinets up front, you can get a gen compartment in one of the cabinets. That way, you've got 110v, which means good lights, you can plug in an electric impact, or whatever. Once you ever have a generator, you'll wonder *why* you never had one before...

Check out www.brownmotorspts.com (http://www.brownmotorspts.com) and www.jim-glo.com (http://www.jim-glo.com) I have owned trailers from both companies. They are as innovative as I have found.

Looks like this may be a good candidate: Ramchargers Trailer (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-and-c2-parts/2113297-fs-ranchargers-trailer.html) http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

My opinion considered is that after you tow with a 5th wheeler, you'll NEVER... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif.....want to tow with anything else. No more fighter the trailer down the road. Ask Mark L. (70-ss_rs-l78) When we went to get his L78 Camaro in Kentuckey, that rat-bastard slept all the way from Kentuckey to NJ without waking up! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I personally think it is the only way to go if it's it your budget. That's my .02 cents.
