O'Keefe Chevrolet Olds, Riverhead NY

Anybody out there have anything from this dealer? We have a 68 L72 Impala from here and I figured I'd ask.

High Steve I see you are from Highland NY. I bought my 68 L78 nova from highland in 2001. It has been in this area for a long time all the way back to 1978 this is where my investigation trail ended. Sorry I don't have any info on that dealer but I thought I would ask you if you know of any one that has any information on Louis Smith Chevrolet. I still have the leather key chain that was in my car when I bought it. Or you might know someone that does? Not saying it is sold from this dealer just a possibility. How long have you lived in this area?

Jason, Nice Nova! I have only lived here since August, as I am going to school down here. It's a really nice area and I plan to move here after school. I had that dealership's codes and address in my dealer list, so I decided to investigate it when I moved down. Based on the address, it appears that the building no longer exists, but there is another Chevy dealership very close on 9W called Highland Chevrolet. From what I have read, Louis Smith was opened in the mid 20's and it closed sometime in the mid 80's. I wish I had more info for you..

The earliest I can remember locally is right when I moved out here. There was Kinney Chevrolet Olds in Riverhead, I bought a new C10 in 1985 there and it was a very old building and has since been torn down. Maybe Steve S. 'paceme' might know, he is close to that area but I don't know for how long.
