I was just sitting here thinking about how I would set up a 69 Camaro if it were back in the day. Then I was thinking about colors. Was a pretty tough decision. Thought I would do a poll to find out what everyone else thought.

So if its 1969 and your ordering your new Camaro (whatever trim package, Z, SS, COPO, ZL1) what color do you choose?

Hey Cumby...I talked with a friend this past weekend about a COPO Camaro that his friend bought new from Dale Chev. It was a Frost Green black interior bare-bones 4-speed car...just like you like it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

FATHOM GREEN! But I gotta 'ya, when it came time to sell, I really had a big problem. When it comes to Camaros, everybody wants the "hot" colors like red, orange, and yellow. In fact, I actually had people hang the phone up on me when the car was for sale and I answered "green" when asked what color the car was. Olympic gold and Champaign(sic) are my next favorites. Give me the earth tones!

I'll also add that Ralley Green has became a favorite color as of lately (for me at least) and looks great with a White interior! It just screams "MUSCLECAR". On the same hand, that Mopar color Sassy Green or Lime Green just makes me ill to even look at. No offense to owners please.

Yes, I have seen a White stripe on a Black 69.

Tuxedo Black coupes with Black interior and D90, DX1, or D96 stripe (not Z28) and without* vinyl top received a Red stripe. (* Note: An original paint black car with a black vinyl top has found and it has a red stripe on it, so GM documentation may be in error on this detail).

but please tell me how are where called the headlights?

Was there a special option for 396 SS only?

And does it really functional or is it more show &amp; shine?
I think the light power are not so good, or isn´t it?

They are hideaway headlights... part of the RS option available on any 69 Camaro... vaccuum operated doors swing open to expose the headlights when the switch is pulled (or at least they are SUPPOSED to) the doors also have slits in them that lets some light shine through if the doors decide they don't want to open. Yes this car is fun... expecially when I raise the wheelie bars up and let it hang..1.15 sec in the 60 foot.
