Does anyone have any knowledge on the early race Hemi crossram intake manifolds? We just repaired and restored one that the owner was going to leave for dead but we saved it and brought it back to life. No welds visible at all when we were done! My question is this: some of these were actually magnesium and others were aluminum during this period. I am trying to find out what years were magnesium and what years were aluminum. The one that we saved was magnesium. 1964 and 1965 vintage.......I think. Any help appreciated. Before and after photos here to review.
We just received another one for repair and it's identical except for the fact that it's aluminum.
Thanks,
Jerry

Not an expert. I believe the magnesium are more rare and desireable. I'll check around. Nice work Jerry.

Phil,
Not sure what caused the damage. I think he told me that it was under water for a long period in time and out in the elements but not sure. Was just glad that we were able to save it.

Sam,
Do you know if they were year sensitive? I'll probably have to ask some of the hemi guys like Ray Barton, C. Wescott or Harry Holton.
