Hopefully someone here has experienced the same problem as we have, and solved it.
The problem is that the powerglide wonīt shift until after 15 to 20 minutes, when it is all warmed up. Once warm it shifts firmly and works just like it should. The transfluid has been changed since the car, a 1967 Impala, had been sitting for at least six years.
Any ideas ?

Do you have the proper vacume going to the trans? modulator?

Hoses and everything seems to be attached the way it should be. Itīs hard to believe that it would work when itīs warm unless everything was connected the right way ?

It could possibly have something sticking in the valve body? filter change? Just ideas i am thinking of. It needs a good vacume source not a weak one.
