builing up an L34 clone (454) and want to get the right:

- Intake bolts for my Qjet intake
- Fuel pump ...did they have a return or not?
- Fuel filter ...return line or not?
- engine lift brackets.....do I have to have these?

of course, feel free to advise of part numbers or vendors that srock these.

Do you mean L34/396/350 H.P. motor?? They did have lift brackets painted engine/intake color. Intake bolts are different than for an aluminum intake. These you can find repro. like at Ground Up, etc...

Not 100% sure on the return lines. I think this might be a year thing. Later years had them, earlier did not.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Hope this helps you.... Rich http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

Chris,

For those four items, the L34 and L35 are the same.

1. Fuel pump - yes, it would have a return.
2. Fuel filter - yes, return line for that also. Filter is AC part #GF-432 and is repro'ed, but the repros are not exactly like the originals.
3. Lift brackets - yes, they were left on the engine.

I will have to leave the clarification of the intake bolts to someone else. My car still has all the original stuff, but the engine is kinda rusty and cruddy and I can't really see the markings on the bolt heads. I can tell that most of the bolts have an integral washer on the head, except for the bolts that hold the lift brackets on. Also at the front on the passenger side the bolt head has a stud sticking up to anchor the alternator bracket.

Thanks! You get to see so many cars done up "stock" on the internet and they are all different(incorrect)....hard to get a good point of reference.
