I had a gift idea for my 24 year old son but boy did I get screwed. My son has wanted a LS6 intake for his 2000 camaro SS and so My wife and I thought we would get him one for christmas. I found one on the another camaro web site. After contacting the fellow that had one he sent me pictures and also said it came off a 2001 corvette. We made a deal and I paid through paypal. One week later the parcel arrived and it was actually a LS1 intake off a 2000 corvette not a LS6 intake off a 2001 corvette like I was told along with the pictures. This clown will not refund my money even though I have an email from him saying he was sorry and meant to say it was off a 2000 corvette.Does anyone have any idea what I can do as paypal does not seem to look after its Canadian customers? Thanks

If the paypal was taken from your credit card you can dispute the credit card charge.

did you tell paypal that you want to dipsute the item? They have come through for me the few times I have had a problem.
Go through the site and file an official dispute. Certainly you canuck standing, should not effect this.

I filed a dispute and it was turned down by paypal and I quote from an email from them (The claims only apply to shipments not recieved,it does not apply to the quality of the attributes or quality of the goods ) unquote. What a crazy policy for us up here. I am stuck on what to do,if I had the time off work I am to the point I would drive the 12 hours and meet this guy to get it straightened out. At this point that might get me in trouble

Doesn't sound like he did ship what you bought. It wouldn't be a quality issue if you bought a Chevy intake and he sent a Volkswagen intake would it? It's a bait and switch, you did NOT receive the goods you ordered (and he admitted) so Paypal should have your back!

Always..........Always............Make your source of Payment to PayPal thru a Credit Card...........They don't like that, But who cares what they like.......
I had a $70 item that was never sent and filed a dispute, they Ruled in my favor but since the Seller was no longer an eBay member they replied that I would only get my Money if the Seller returned it to them....
Now......even though I paid thru a Credit Card, if I declined Payment to them......they would have shut down my Paypal account......It wasn't worth the trouble dealing with them for the $70.........For a higher value Item, the Credit Card is a "Valued" safety valve......

I talked to paypal and as far as they are concered as long as you recieve something from the seller wheather it be right or wrong they will not help at all. The guy said because I recieved something that is all that matters to Paypal. So I guess if I bought a car and recieved a bike paypal would consider this OK. What a JOKE
