IF YOU LOOK IN THE NEWEST HOT ROD MAG IT TALKS ABOUT THE FORDS ON PAGE 22. THEN IF YOU GO TO 42 YOU SEE THE NEW CAMARO HAVING A LS7 DROPED RIGHT IN THE ARTICLE SAYS THIS WAS GOING BE THE NEW COPO. WHY CAN GM GET NOTHING RIGHT, THEY ALLMOST HIT A HOME RUM BUT ALWAYS SEEM TO HIT A TRIPLE INSTEAD. HOW COOL WOULD BE TO GET THE NEW SS CAMARO WITH THE ZR 1 MOTOR AND CALL IT THE NEW Z28

LOOKS GOOD BUT STILL NO COMFRIMED PRODUCTION OF A LS7 COPO CAMARO. IT WOULD BE LIKE HEAVEN IF SOME HOW WE COULD GET A STREET LEAGAL LS9, BUT I WILL TAKE A LS7 TO START. BOY IT LOOKS GOOD BUT I HEAR FROM MY FREINDS WHO WENT TO THE POWER TOUR THE CONVT LOOKS EVEN BETTER. A LS7 COMVT I AM ALL IN.

I don't think there's any chance of the General putting the Supercharged LS9 in the new Camaro, but I could easily see them installing the Corvette Z06 LS7 (427 CID!)engine in a few of them or maybe even making an installation kit to make the swap easier. The Z06 has become the middle-child "Jan Brady" of Corvettes since the release of the 638 HP ZR-1. Anyway, isn't it great that you can still buy a Pistol-gripped 425 HP Hemi Challenger or possibly go down the street to the GM dealer in the near future to maybe buy a 427 Camaro again. These are the glory days again but unfortunately due to the failing economy and new CAFE standards, I think we've peaked (like 1970) and it's all gonna be downhill again soon. I tell 'ya, I've always had my head in the sand always being focused on the Sixties' musclecars so much and for so long, but a couple of years ago I realized that there are some really great NEW musclecars out there to have a lot of fun without the hassle of doing a frame-off restoration. I gonna enjoy and run the heck out of my current Z06 and let somebody else worry about restoring it 30 years from now!
