there isnt much info on the early yenko camaros. they didnt have the famous hoods on them, no yenko emblems, just a 427 badge on the fenders.

Does it say Stinger as the vehicle type on the window sticker IE as car model does it list it as a Camaro Stinger or Yenko Stinger?
Or is it listed as a line item on the window sticker with a price out beside it?
Also does the window sticker have another company name besides Yenko Chevrolet? Yenko Sportscars maybe?

Randy, do you have any vintage pictures of the car?

Randy, if your concern is a VIN number that may be on the sticker that's understandable, -- would be nice to see the sticker though even if you covered that portion up.-- But the VIN number is probably what is going to find it for ya, unless you have a trail of who your Dad sold it to.

I don't believe it says either on the factory window sticker. It looks like the dealer sticker says "Stomper".

Are there any other window stickers like this that call out a Stormer? It doesn't appear to have been assigned a YS nbr. There have been discussions on build numbers of the early models. I wonder if this car is on the list Tom C. has. Perhaps you could run it by Tom Clary, to see if it shows up on his list of 67s. Would this be a car converted by Dick Harrell for Don? And is this the only one with the Stormer name attached? Would there have been any badges denoting it? Very interesting piece.

Even though it lists 15X6 wheels I have only documentation on one car ever getting 15 inch wheels in 1967. The others have had 14' wheels. It looks as if this one had 14' wheels too...BKH

Were there 3 different options the Span-INC ad shows a 450 and 410 HP 427 while the cars paperwork shows a 425 HP 427 as does the Stomper partial ad provided. Did Span Deal in those HPs and Yenko provide the other one??

Thanks for sharing the information, and hopefully you can locate the car. That's so cool to have that original paperwork and picture from your dad's car. Did he race the car on a regular basis?
1randy
01-11-2009, 10:04 PM
yes he raced it at ohio valley race way inthe early 70s . the announcer would comment on how high he took it up to on RPMs . he ran the hell out of it . ive got old E.T. slips from then.
1randy
01-11-2009, 10:06 PM
he ran it in B/Modifide production because the tech guy said 67 camaros didnt come with a 427 in it from the factory
