The last Lear 60, corporate jet, I was involved with 5 or 6 years ago was above 40K.....I guarantee you would not paint a 747 for 100K. I cannot even guess what it would cost.

That must add a lot of weight to the plane. I would think they would strip it prior to repaint.

Thank God above that everyone survived...I fly a lot and especially out if La Guardia and JFK and when I look out the windows of the planes,I always think of how much water is nearby upon takeoff and landing...but now I guess thats a good thing!!!!

Once again...Thank God for miracles!!!
