The day finally came where we pulled this '69 Kingswood out of the weeds!

This wagon was driven here 20 years ago, and the engine was removed at this spot. Who knows where that ended up.

It started to snow when the skid-loader arrived.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180022.jpg
The tires sunk into the ground about 6 inches!

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180023.jpg
Slid the roll-back under the wagon, next the skid-loader was used to knock down some of the brush covering the front end.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180024.jpg
The car is now moving, but none of the wheels are turning. That tree next to the front door actually helped guide the car straight up onto the deck.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180026.jpg
The hood fell off, not worth taking anyway.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180027.jpg
The brush hid this side of the car so well, I didn't know about the damaged rear door.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180028.jpg
It's up there, now we have to take it back to my buddy's farm.

Back at the farm.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180056.jpg
Nothing (except the floor) fell off the car during the 6 mile trip here.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180051.jpg
The right side floor fell down onto the deck of the rollback.

This is the only door that will open. It's a 9 passenger wagon, and my son LOVES third row seat wagons!

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm200/OneWayStreet_album/Impala%20Extraction/P1180058.jpg
All kidding aside, this thing is very rusty, I doubt if I fix it. When I'm able to dig into it, that will tell the story!

The folks that own the farm where this car was, and some others, are clearing out all of the junkers and sending them to the scrap yard, as they need some cash.

Here's a few others....

Just add a desk and chair to complete your office in the woods. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I posted pics of ALL the cars in this woods in the Rotting Musclecars thread.

BTW, the Kingswood is free, not that its a great deal. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Too bad they waited and didn't do this 6 months ago. They would of doubled their money on scrap.

The folks up the street had a wagon like that. Exact same thing with a 427 in it.

If I ever ended up with a load of money I always thought it would be cool to go all out and buy a 60's ranch house decorated to date and get a wagon and a musclecar (probably my Z) in the garage. This wagon would be perfect.

Congrats, looks like a fun project..

Really nice patina on wagon. It would be great to get it road worthy without changing it's appearance. Good Luck !! Thanks for posting. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

As long as the floor fell out, no need to even install a new motor.
