Can someone tell me for sure if the mounts shown in KP's eBay ad http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...3&viewitem= (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay .com%3A80%2F260346436853_W0QQcatrefZC5QQdfspZ32QQf clZ3QQfromZR7QQfrppZ200QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ32QQnojsprZy QQpfidZ0QQsacatZQ2d1QQsofindtypeZ0QQsofocusZbsQQfv iZ1&item=260346436853&viewitem=) are correct for 69 L72 (or other 69 b/b for that matter)
I've been told that they are correct only for s/b. I was under the impression that they were the same for both the b/b and Z/28-SS350. (don't have an opinion on other s/b)

If they changed to the interlocking variety during the model year, when was that change made?
Thanks,

Those are correct for a big block.... The small block mounts are similar, but have a "J" shaped cut out at the lower hole. I have a 10A build 69 Z/28 that still have that mount in it. It was never apart. As far as the big block, I don't really know if they carried thru the entire year.

Hey Frank,
Thanks for the info. What do you mean by the lower hole? Also do you mean a J shaped cut-out in the metal? Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of the cut-out? Do you know if the dimensions are the same? ie do they interchange?

I have a set like the ones KP had on ebay, and a guy told me they were incorrect for b/b. I was thinking maybe the change was made in the model year, so maybe that was the discrepancy. I do know that I had mine on my b/b for 200 miles, and that everything aligned. When I re-installed my engine, I went with the aftermarket interlocking ones, and they have caused my engine to be about 1/8" lower, and now I have to remove the crank pulley to get the belts on. Fortunately the belts and pulley do not hit the crossmember.

Thanks again, and Go Steelers!!! (or as we pronounce it in Pittsburgh, Go Stiilers!)

The "J" shape cut out is in the rubber, not the metal. I will try to post pics tomorrow.

if you look at the other side of the mounts ( that faces the block ) the SMALL BLOCK mounts have a ''L'' shape formed into the metal, while the BIG block mounts have a '' T'' shape.....IMHO.......

Well, thanks for the info. I guess my NOS "big block" mounts are really small block.

Mine are s/b and are for sale. They are "like NOS, as they were NOS before I put them on my b/b for about 200 miles. PM if interested.
