I am going to look at this car possibly to purchase.
This is a 2 owner, original paint, interior ,engine, and 34,000 miles documented from new... The car is in mint condition. I am wondering what your guys thoughts on this car ie; value, collectible, and interest...

I'm into old BMWs as are other members here. Tons and ton of interest but very limited collectibility. I have a '85 528e with 74k original miles. Awesome little car but not worth much.

killer car, I built alott of clone gti rabbits with wrecked GTI's in the 90's, awsome cars, go like stink and stop on a dime and easy on fuel if you can drive them nice...man what a honey you have found!
I have not seen a nice one in years..guessing 4/7k for a value but have not tracked them in years as it appears there are non left around here not even on sunny days I dont ever see one sneak out for a spin. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

According to Kelly Blue Book, only goes back to 1989, but an 89 GTI with low miles is only valiued at $1660 for private sale excellent condition.

That is awesome. I have had several VWs over the years. Cabriolets, Jetta, Golf. I love the cars and this is a beautiful example! My wife wants me to get another 89-92 Cabrolet for her..
You might want to consult the experts at VW Vortex. (http://forums.vwvortex.com/)
I pulled this from NADA..

http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif, was that a joke Sam? I have a feeling someone would probably pay more than book for that car.

Nice car. Vortex is the place to go for info. I thought I was the only VW nut. We have an 08 and 09 GTI and a 70 Beetle. Have also run a bunch of diesel VW's.

I bought on exactly like it new (mine had a sun roof) I was a blast to drive, and held up well. I drove it into Chicago for 4 years and it was great!!!
