Steady precip the last couple of days, but there has been no accumulation on the roads yet. Temps have been just above freezing, but are supposed to drop down quite a bit tonite.

Usually N Ark gets the snow and LR gets railed with the ice, but think we'll be OK this time. Temps are supposed to be back up on Thursday.

It was in the mid-60s on Friday, then in the 30s for the weekend. Typical Arkansas weather.

Just checking in from Cape Girardeau Mo, we have about two inches of snow and ice on the ground now, and more coming yet early this morning and the rest of tonight. We had about 2" of snow here in northern MD, then freezing rain on top of that.

Spent 20 minutes de-icing the truck this morning. The drive to work was a little challenging on some roads, but I made it here.

Pretty bad here too. Can't walk outside hardly at all. All the snow melt ice is gone from the stores in my area. when i lived out in Pa, anytime it snowed it was either a 2 hr. delay for school or cancelled altogether....drove me nuts !!!

I checked and double checked. It's right! They're calling for a high of 12° today and more snow tonite. Not too bad right now. We only have 3" to 4" and fortunately, no ice yet.

Here is a shot looking out my back dining area window into the back yard. We got hammered with about a half a foot or more since around 8pm last night. Waiting til later to snow blow. They say it will taper off around dinner time.. There was no snow on the railing of my deck until this kicked up last night... This SUCKS, Can't wait for spring and summer!!

7.2 inches snow and freezing rain , no electric, living on generator, had to get up 2 times in middle of night to re fuel, no heat!or hot water !!! starting to smell bad, might take ice shower !! but i found that internet works cause im on satlelite , yeeeeaaaah.

Same boat as Randy...electricity clicked off @ noon on Tuesday, and came back this afternoon...and we're the lucky ones...most folks from here & to the south the co-op is *hoping* to have electricity by March. Dad met an 18 wheeler over in Poplar Bluff with a load of FEMA water, as we were one of the few folks who could get a truck & trailer out...still took us a few hours of cutting limbs, plowing snow/ice, and ended up having to drag the truck/trailer with our track loader (4wd tractor wouldn't budge it!)...quite the ordeal. Looks like a scene out of a movie around here, like a huge A-bomb went off...not a top left in a tree from here south, and dead men (limbs) hanging in every tree. Knocked out all but 1 radio in our range for a few days, so we've been a bit isolated...our Alton office has power, but Thayer & Mammoth Spring locations are both dark...those 2 towns are still in the dark as well, and they said this morning that since they're having to run the water system off of generators that water supply is limited so if there's a fire there will be no way to even slow it down...so now there's a burn ban and a curfew...to make matters worse, this part of the world is out of gasoline! Been a real learning experience...

Funny thing is, though, other than the water that we had to go get & haul ourselves for the southern part of the county, there's been nary a word from FEMA...and no looting or shootings...go figure...!?!

Randy: with all the folks here running their generators, and folks from Arkansas having to drive up to find a station with electricity, our gas stations have ran out of gas a few times...y'all having any trouble getting gasoline?

we are definatly going to enter pinks , its giong to be end of may, i will be driving a 72 nova my uncle owns , i painted it red with 70 yenko decals , has a 468 big block with 300 shot nos , runs 9.80s with 10.5 tires

Very cool...as an aside...when we drove to Mammoth that year to ski (as we had done at least 30 times before that...and knew the drive like the back of my hand)...we actually figured out that we had missed the exit due to the excessive snow when we saw Mono Lake which was 29 miles past our turn off at Hwy 203! I heard on the news that the meal packets that FEMA was handing out contained "tainted" peanut butter...sounds about par for the course, as the load of water we hauled for FEMA for the victims of the ice storm here was well past the "do not drink" date...!
