Went and looked at this one today. engine and tranny are not org but the cowl tag shows its a RS/Z if your wondering about the blue tint on the firewall and around the cowl tag, the engine compartment was powder coated blue years ago

Guy was looking to trade for a decent daily driver 69 SS. This 67 would need a restoration as its been painted black and has been sitting on stands for the last 2 years at its current location and about 10 years at a prior location. What would the odds be that there were 2 67 RS/Z28s in Hawaii at the same time both being Royal Plum some of which shows after the lower rocker molding. The other Royal Plum car in the magazine article was said to be the only 67 RS/Z in that color known, Not anymore:)

Holy cow Ed http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif . You're up awful early! Unless, you are in a different time zone of course. If you are, perhaps not on the continental U.S., please spread the word about the Stillers http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/mockingbird812/terrible_towel_smiley.gif and be on the look out for fans too. If you spot any, send us some pix! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

My dad has a MO 302 in his 67 RS convertible on the Big Island. I do not think I ever checked to see if it was a 67 or 68. I will let you know but it may be awhile. I will have to talk him into "digging" it out.

Yes, that's correct. I am trying to buy the car I know about, so I can't share much info since the vultures will start circling http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif RS, Black Deluxe, Tach/Guages, Fold down, PS, original drivetain...

I think the MN car is a standard grille car...

Jeff,

Was given the data on this car over the holdays and I logged it into the national 67 Z28 registry. If I'm not mistaken this puts us over the 200 mark in 67 Z cars in the registry. Took 21 years to get there as I started the registry back in 1988. What's your overall opinion of the car and body? What about the rear axle?

They're still out there.

I have to get back to the car and do some scrubbing on the axle tube to find the codes. the Mono leaf springs were replaced with multi leaf ones and a brace was welded to the tube as well. I was thinking the code might be under the brace but will check again to see if I can locate it. Does have the trction rod mount on axle and the floor pan re-inforcement as well.

So what's the final tally for Plum Z's? There are 3 RS's: Milton Kims, Zedder's, and there's also one on Denis Gilbert's site. Non RS: Little Hoss and the one in MN; are there any more?

I thought of you last week Jeff as I was on HI-30 near Lahaina on Maui and passed a '69 Tuxedo Black RS convert. It was a quick look but it looked real nice and real stock. I would have done a U-turn and chased it down but my wife wasn't to thrilled about the idea! I know its not your island but thought maybe you had heard of it?

Being in the islands too, are you thinking of the possibility of this being the original engine from the car Jeff's shown above?.
