Quick Powerglide ID question - air cooled - 1962?

Hey Folks!
I dug out an old Powerglide from my garage this weekend (trying to clear out some excess "stuff") and I don't remember what car it came from...
It may have come out of an old '62 Corvette I parted out about 150 years ago??? It has slotted or rectangular holes in the bellhousing portion, no provisions for trany cooler lines, and I think it used to have a tailhousing with shifter mounts on it (tailhousing got swapped with a non-mount style at some point through the years). I think the old torque convertor (long since gone) had cooling fins on it...
Sorry, haven't checked for any numbers/codes and no pics at the moment, but you guys probably already know what it's for anyway.... Or maybe you can coach me on what codes to look for????

And it appears there are holes/provisions for cooler lines but they were plugged off when this was in the car.

Still curious what this is for...

I think it might be what was called a torque drive. Basicaly a manual shifted , air cooled power glide. Most were for 4, or 6 cyl applications. Maybe some low hp v8s.

It's been a while, but I thought the holes were round in air cooled PG in early 60's

do those rectanguler holes look home cut? Is the trans cast (pre 1960) or aluminum?

Rectangular holes appear to be factory cast and not cut after. The case is aluminum and it has Powerglide cast into it......
Is there a spot on the case that will have some casting dates or numbers for me to check out? (I'm not that ambitious to clean the whole case looking for numbers).
