I just purchased a 'possible' L78 Nova, story I have so far is that it was formerly raced from 1970 to 1974 - maybe in Virginia? Car is red with a wide white stripe down the side that says 'BEEFEATER'. Driver window says 'Charlie Peery'. ANy help would be beneficial - thanks!

Well, must not. I am hoping this thing is the real deal, it was definitely raced back in the day, retains its original BT rear but holds a 4.56 gear now. Motor is a CE block with aluminum heads and they still had the late september 291 heads as well, the 4557 carb, correct intake, crank, rods, radiatior, etc. A lot of things are lining up to say its true. It was crandberry red with black buckets, 4spd car. It has the single 'A' on the trim tag - does that mean no exterior trim? Manual steering box. Anything else I can look for on this car - yes it has the 3/8 fuel line. Was also wanting some opinions on going to original or 'day 2' on this thing.....thoughts?
Thanks

Cool Mike. Somebody will know that car. Post it at the Nova sites too. Looks to be pretty solid. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif
